Frattesi’s Late Strike Lifts Inter to 2-1 Victory Over Bayern in Champions League Thriller

In a high-stakes UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash at the Allianz Arena, Inter Milan stunned hosts Bayern Munich with a dramatic 2-1 win, thanks to a late goal from Davide Frattesi.

The Italian side opened the scoring in the 38th minute when Lautaro Martínez found the back of the net following a well-worked move with teammate Marcus Thuram. Despite Bayern’s strong response in the second half, they struggled to break through Inter’s solid defense.

Veteran forward Thomas Müller, brought on as a substitute, gave the home crowd hope with a clinical finish in the 85th minute to level the match at 1-1. However, that joy was short-lived. Just three minutes later, Frattesi latched onto a rebound and fired past Manuel Neuer, restoring Inter’s lead and silencing the Munich faithful.

The result hands Inter Milan a crucial advantage heading into the second leg at the San Siro on April 16. Bayern now face a tough task if they are to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

Inter will look to capitalize on their home support, while Bayern must regroup quickly and rediscover the ruthless edge that has made them European giants in past seasons.
